Galway retain All-Ireland Minor Hurling Title Victory over a fine Kilkenny side, the end result of 0-21 to 0-14, may seem harsh on the Cats when reflecting back on the game but having overcome a difficult opening period, where Kilkenny threw everything at the young Tribesmen, Galway upped the ante no end and dominated their opponents for the majority of the second period. Athenry pair, goalkeeper Patrick Rabbitte and wing back Shane Quirke, played their parts to earn the county it’s 12th. Minor title. Shane saving almost a certain goal at a vital stage and a defiant Patrick Rabbitte keeping a clean sheet. Eoin Lawless was also a member on the Galway Panel. |
